Give to yourself and to all others the gift of being present and grounded in your body on this planet. If you are here, it is because this is where you are supposed to be. You have the right to exist because you were born. Choose the commitment and responsibility to ground and be truly alive. Sign a declaration committing to be present in the here and now. Grounding is a secure anchoring, a deep rootedness of simply being which brings you unwavering presence with all that is. You live where the unlimited skies, full of possibilities, meet the magnetic pull of Earth’s embrace. Rooted into the depths of the earth, a tree grows tall. Like the trees, the more rooted and nurtured you are, the higher you can reach up towards the light. When better grounded to the Earth, which gives, upholds, promotes life, you can better connect to the Universe, which guides and directs. Trees live safe in the knowledge that day by day they are totally supported by the earth, water, air and sun. They choose to listen to their innate wisdom and grow. They never freeze in fear. To fully ground, overcome and replace doubt and fear with trust and love. Fear must never be mistaken for the excitement of being truly present and alive. Many of us, consciously or subconsciously on some level, might wish we weren’t alive. Stressors and false beliefs can create a greater fear of life, than of death. The reality is that you can live safe in the knowledge that you can choose thriving instead of surviving. You can choose to listen to your innate wisdom and to grow, expand and heal, instead of contracting in fear. Our brain is built to resist change. However, it is time for us all to courageously embrace transformation. Life may challenge you, pushing you out of your comfort zone, urging you to ask the bigger questions. It can force you to face any fears that might have been stopping you from following your heart. You can stay in your body by breathing into your sacrum/tail- bone and releasing any fear on each out breath. If you stay in your head instead, your mind might chatter stuff that makes you lose confidence. Once grounded you can gradually increase your body awareness. This way you can experience your own inherent wisdom and how the body’s ability to heal is hugely underestimated. We can all learn to treat our body as the beautiful organism of awareness it is. Let’s come to our senses and respect, show gratitude, and ask for forgiveness for the times when we have abused and not listened to it. One or all parts of the body might want to dialogue so we can listen to and feel sensations without judgment. What messages does it have? Are there any tensions which could do with softening? Any cell memories of physical and emotional traumas which want to be heard so that these blockages can be released? Clearing blockages is key. Is it at all possible to meet pain with gratitude for the message it brings, and then let it go, instead of resisting it? If you take your awareness to a place of dis-ease in your body, what does the dis-ease mean to you? If you talked with it, how would the conversation go? Grounding can help you to gain clarity. It can allow you to experience the wisdom of your body and escape a fearful mind. Making the commitment to ground in your body could be one of the most important steps you make. We must not overlook our bioelectric connection to earth, sky and every living organism. Science is now validating what ancient healers and intuitives instinctively knew. Literally connecting to nature facilitates the rush of free electrons through your skin. Standing barefoot in nature and grounding, also known as earthing, allows nature’s energy to flow through you with greater ease. Research suggests that the simplicity of reconnecting your body to Earth brings with it a multitude of health benefits. These free electrons play an essential role in preventing chronic inflammation, pain and dis-ease. Living in homes insulated from nature, wearing shoes, sleeping off the ground are all factors affecting our grounding/earthing. Grounding acts as a powerful protective shield reducing the effects of electromagnetic fields. As well as grounding it is best to avoid electronic devices such as electric blankets, mobile phones, florescent lights, television sets, computers, microwaves, lamps and alarm clocks. These all emit EMFs which are individually tested as safe, but prolonged exposure and summation of their waves/frequencies can act as stressors to our body. The effects of human made EMFs and how they disrupt natural more subtle electromagnetic forces are only just beginning to be understood. Enjoy walking barefoot in nature, swimming and jumping around in natural sources of water such as the rain, oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, ponds and springs. A great number of nerve endings focus on the soles of your feet. This becomes apparent when you experience the joy of Reflexology, or walking on soft moss, curling your toes into the earth, stepping through a flowing river, wet sand.... Life becomes ‘foreplay.’ As well as the sensual pleasure of touch, you are rewarded with nature’s energy rushing through your skin. Grow roots out of your paws. Connect to the centre of the earth and feel completely supported and nurtured. Grounding is key to every aspect of the physical dimension. To manifest a healthy and happy life you must learn to be grounded so that you can, in turn, ground your visions into physical reality. Live life fully, showing up for the experiences she brings each moment. Once grounding has been established, you are present and can commence this process in the now.
