Yoga, tai chi and dance are just a few forms of exercise we can use to raise our vibration and restore balance. Life and health are vibration; movement. A disconnection from nature and a sedentary lifestyle has become the norm in the modern world. Get your physical body, emotions and energy in motion. Exercise has been proven to greatly improve health and happiness. Exercise leads to more effective circulation and oxygenation and further benefits fluid health by supporting lymph drainage too.
The lymphatic system plays an important role in immunity, delivering nutrients and removing toxins. One of the key benefits of exercise is stimulating lymphatic drainage. The lymphatic system is most active at night. The thoracic duct, located in your chest, is the largest lymph duct. Get it moving in the morning with some breast strokes, press-ups, T’ai Chi, yoga, yawning, laughing, deep breathing. Walk a minimum of 20 minutes a day and use massage regularly. As do sugar and animal protein, congestion of lymphatic system leads to stagnation and an acidic low oxygen environment. Keep that interstitial fluid drained.
Movement is essential to detoxification. You excrete toxins in perspiration. As well as your lymphatic system, moving massages your colon. The liver becomes more efficient at carrying out its many functions including detoxification. Exercise keeps our bodies stronger and suppler and helps us feel better about ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally. Strengthen yourself to thrive.
Exercise reduces factors such as stress and pain, and increases ones such as discipline, self worth and energy levels. Exercise stimulates your immune system unless you overdo it. Avoid too little or too much exercise, as too much exercise can prove stressful to the body. Exercise uses blood sugar and decreases insulin levels. It massages your visceral organs, improving their function. You gain a stronger more efficient heart and lungs and you start to use much more of your lung capacity.
Regularity of exercise is more important than quantity. Light daily exercise is best. Just half an hour a day can make a huge difference. Movement encourages positive changes in you at a physical, emotional, mental and energetic level. Choose yoga, t’ai chi, qigong, martial arts, stretching, walking to restore rhythms... any exercise is good. Yoga has multiple benefits. It encourages a healthy mind, and flow, the release of emotional and physical toxins, unblocks chakras, improves your breathing, posture, supports your immune, circulatory and lymphatic systems. Or, maybe go for a peaceful stroll through nature, during which worrying is forbidden and you are grounded in the present, aware of the sensations in your body, the warmth of the sun and breathing fresh air. Breathing all of nature’s energy into your heart on every inspiration and gratitude on every out breath. With every step you are moving forward.
